Long Nights and The Joy of Work

First thing that must cross your mind must have been "Yeah right". Who is this guy trying to kid here? Well, not really. Yes I am buried under a ton of work. Yes I have been having ridiculously little sleep for the past few days. Yes, I am having fun doing so...

Before I start my rant, I hope my grandma is doing fine. Been worrying quite a fair bit about you lately. Please take care and for my relatives who read my blog, please keep me updated ya? Thanks.

Can't remember if I blogged yesterday. Days seem alot longer, sometimes they are 36 hours long, can't really count them anymore. Like I was saying, it's all good and fun.

My own quiz:
S&P500: 1409.84
NASDAQ: 2437.36
DJIA: 12307.49

And idiot me didn't take note of this information, which I will from now on:
1 year T-bill1: 4.696%
5 year T-Note: 4.533%
10 year T-Note: 4.559%
30 year T-Note: 4.665%

I had to give a rough figure for the risk-free rate to calculate CAPM yesterday during my mock interviews; wasn't aware of the yields of treasury bills/notes. Anyways, this is pretty interesting. Inverted yield curve again , i.e. long term debt is having a lower yield than short term debt. If you're interested, thats supposed to be a bad sign. Inverted yield curves in the past have preceeded recessions in the US. Might also be due to increased demand for long term notes, driving prices (and premiums) down. *shrugs* Take comfort in the fact that it's only a slight inversion for now.

Okay, I'm ranting again. I went for the Friars concert today because my classmate and fellow marketing buddy, Mike has been asking me to go almost everyday. Oh well, I guess the time could be better spent but it was a good concert though. Sellout crowd in Rackham Auditorium. Thats pretty impressive. Dude, you sure can sing man... You're the best! Anyways, loved the song you guys sang true love. It was really nice. The whole auditorium went dead quiet when you guys sang it. Your little prelude that you were all going to sing a song about something which makes you want to vomit. Hilarious.

Back to work again. Time now is *yawns* 2.53am. I miss you... Cold, long night ahead...
