End of Part 1

And so, 7 weeks have flew by in a wink. My first internship has already ended. It seemed just like yesterday when I started the job. It was the most fruitful experience I have had and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. The shit loads of work, the 9 to 3, 4 or 5am days, client meetings, profiles, foosball, crapping with my fellow intern, learning new skills; it was just such a blast.

I know half (or rather, all) the people who read this and they think I'm nuts. The hours are no doubt crazy, almost bordering on super human. But then again, I like the challenge of this work so much that time just whizzes by when I'm working on stuff. I'm really thankful for this experience and hopefully, my second internship would be just as fruitful, if not more.

For now, this is the earliest day I've been home since my first day of work. Home at 11pm! Can you even believe it? Anyways, I'll be out of the country for a couple of days. Heading to Taipei with my family tomorrow morning for a short family holiday. Haven't had one in years; really looking forward to it.

Until then, I have 2 weeks of "boredom" until I get back into the fun again. If anyone of you want to meet up, now's the time! Else, take care and good luck in whatever you are doing!

The Time I Get Home

This time, everyday and 9am in the office the following day fail. Damn I love this job. With only a few days left in this internship, will have to make the best out of it. I'm so going to miss this life (or lack thereof).

Nite.

A Wedding (and more...)

Hello. It's the end of another weekend. I'm actually home early today so thought I'd write a blog entry since it's no where near my normal bedtime yet.

Had a really hectic time last week. I did end up clocking 120 hours in the week (which means I had 48 hours the whole week to travel to and from work and sleep). So much for being told in an interview back in Michigan that you can't possibly work 120 hours, "think about it, thats not possible". I'll give that idiot a good kick if I can remember who it was.

Went for Matthew and Bern's wedding yesterday. Reached church a little late because I was late out of a conference call in the morning. It was actually the first church wedding that I have ever attended. The words which I only dreamt of but never heard. It was a beautiful event.

Needless to say, dashed back to work and another meeting until it was time for the wedding dinner. A pretty nice affair but I was a little too tired at that point in time. In Matthew and Bern's speech after their toast, they thanked lots of people. Their parents, their family, their friends and.... to those who couldn't join us thaat day, their uncle and Pat. I froze. I didn't dare turn or move my head away from the stage. I was afraid the tears would roll down my face if I did. The last straw really came when the band (which did a great job by the way), started playing Love, Me by Colin Raye. Memories flooded in like nobody's business. I had to get away from the table. I wasn't drinking because I was heading back to work after the dinner. I guess I changed my mind. The red wine was pretty good. Don't get me wrong. It wasn't painful memories, it was lots of happy ones. Just that the realization again that Pat is no longer here physically becomes a little overwhelmingly frightening at times. If you didn't know, Pat meant a lot to me. Why is everyone always so touchy about that? Just miss her, thats all.

I went back to the office and finished my comps at around 4 plus before heading home. Fun stuff (which I'm sure no one believes). I'm not kidding, it really is.

To Matthew and Bern, I sincerely wish you a happy, blissful and blessed marriage, forever.

Best wishes,
Wilson

Short Blog

Hey guys. Just got home. This is ridiculously early. Who the hell gets home at 1:30am man? Haha... it's been a crazy and exciting week. My second week hitting the 100 barrier, but this time, I've hit past 100 in only 6 days. All ready for the 120 hours man!

Anyways, I'm tired. I seriously need to wane off on the vulgarities. And man I'm exhausted. 106 and counting...

Jeeze someone please wake me up by 9:30am tomorrow or I'm screwed.

P.S. I miss you.

Spent all the time which I could today with Pat and kept her company. At the gate of the church right at 7am and left for a whole day of training at One Raffles Quay, and then from 6 plus till closing time. Was really exhausted but no chance in hell that I was going to leave because I was tired again. I missing you dar. So fast, it's one year already. Seems just like yesterday when you were still the bubbly and pretty little bully, playing your little pranks on me and making me laugh.

Lots of little funny memories of the times we've spent together. The late night chats, the long walks, the lovely moments we had together. Dar, I'm tired.

Love you babe.
