National Day 2007

Happy birthday Singapore!

I went for the National Day Parade, held for the first time at Marina Bay this year. Pretty awesome event though the mass displays were kinda pointless. Nonetheless, great fireworks, total defence display and of course, the pride of seeing the red berets as the guard-of-honor.

Had a vastly different national day this year compared to 2006. Can't say today was exactly a fun day to pass, but... oh well...

Anyways, have a great night everyone and once again, Happy Birthday to the place I call home - Singapore.

Heading out.

150th Post

150th post. 15 huh.

Had a pretty shitty day of sorts. Actually, it was just that piece of shit Royston Tan passed off as a movie called 881 that screwed up my f**king day. Piece of junk. It's not funny at all. To all the shitheads that found the harrowing scene funny, together with his dumb ass song, go kick yourselves.

I was going to blog about the totally hilarious time I had last night with the interns from my bank; about the nonsensical stuff that happened to Jon, the drunk birthday boy, but all the happiness has just been sucked out of me right now. F**king dementors.

I'm writing this blog with in a highly irritated and pissed mood; completely inflammatory and totally up for misunderstanding. Maybe I'll delete it when I feel better. But for now, dementors and all the shitheads can go to hell.

Sorry for going for the movie...

Restful Sunday

The weekend is now officially over. School is starting to loom ahead again in the not too distant future; not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

Went for the SSA BBQ yesterday at one of the condos along River Valley Road. Nice place I must say. Got to see some kids whom I haven't seen all summer. No doubt I'll see alot more of them in Michigan. I headed over to Changi Point to meet up with the other Rovers/Scouts who were there on their overnight bike hike. We had supper at Changi Village. Realized that the place has changed quite a bit since I last went there.

Woke up pretty late this morning and had breakfast and lunch with my family. Later in the afternoon, went to SICC with my dad to shoot some balls at the driving range, while my bro and sis went to bowl at the bowling alley at the clubhouse. Only then did I realize that I haven't been there all summer and how nice it was so sit at the pool side and watch the sun set over the MacRitchie tree-line.

Dinner was a pretty awesome meal at Taste Paradise. Great food and nice to have a good meal with my family. All in all, an enjoyable, pretty relaxing weekend.

Why does my mind always drift off in the same direction ever so often? Argh... Stupid flaw.

Long Day

Phew... Finally home after a pretty long 4 hour scout meeting. I never realized how hard banking had eroded my patience; the impatience of dealing with unnecessary, unproductive action and talk has sunk pretty deeply within me. Bad in a way I guess... Well, at least managed to squeeze out a direction to take instead of swimming in ambiguous waters, so that's quite an achievement I guess.

On a brighter note, I met up with my uncle for lunch today. =) It was pretty awesome. Come to think of it, that was probably the first time I've ever had a meal with my uncle (or any of my uncles) alone. Sound advice and great insights as I would expect from my wise uncle. =) I was also reminded to look at the positive side of things. Painful as the experiences were, what have I gained walking through those experiences in life? What's yours will be yours. What's not yours, will never be. How much truth is there in that statement? Anyways, I've got to say again, it was definitely one of the highlights of my day.

Met up with brother scout Weilin (heh...) for dinner at Soup Restaurant. Nice food and finally a chance to somehow sit down and stop for a moment. Don't know how to describe that kind of "stop" feeling. Hrm... like... stop?

Quite a load on my mind at the moment. Paths, options, choices, letting go. The last one is always the hardest to do huh. If there was anything useful I picked up during the meeting/rant earlier on, it has got to be that.

Night dudes. Long day ahead tomorrow.

A Random Day

Just felt like rambling a little right now but kinda don't have much to say, or rather, don't have much that I can say here. Brilliant huh.

Another typical day at work and went for dinner with Ming at Brewerkz. Yeah, Brewerkz again. Decent burgers and good beer. Nice memories of the place too, not to mention the hilarious moment when my brother tackled his friend for smashing a slice of cake onto his face a few weeks ago. Totally wrecked the chair the guy was sitting on. Haha...

Anyways, can't seem to get this song out of my head so, enjoy.

In Love with You
Jacky Cheung & Regine Velasquez

(Jacky)
Just a gentle whisper, tell me that you’d gone
Leaving only memories, where did we go wrong?
I’m still in love with you
I couldn’t find the words then, so let me say them now
(Regine)
Tell me that you love me, tell me that you care
I’ll be there waiting…
Tell me that you need me, and I’ll be there
(Regine/Jacky)
I will always love you, I will always stay true
There’s no one who loves you like I do
I will never leave you, I will always here with you
Come to me now
I’m in love with you
Now we’ve here together, yesterday has past
Through the good and bad I will stand true
(Jacky)
Life is just beginning, close to you at last
And I promise to you, I will always be there
I give my all to you
Living life without you is more that I can bear
(Regine)
Hold me close forever,
I’ll be there...
I’ll be there for you
(Jacky)
I will always love you, I will always stay true
This I promise...
(Regine/Jacky)
There’s no one who loves you like I do
I will never leave you, I will stand here with you
Though the good and bad I will stand true
Hold me closer...
Our love is forever, holding us together
Nothing in this world can stop us now
(Jacky)
Love has found
(Regine)
Love has found a way...
(Regine/Jacky)
I’m in love, I’m in love
I’m so in love with you... Yes I’m in love, so in love... with you.

Can't phantom whats running through my head right now and frankly speaking, I don't really feel like figuring it out. Haha...

Night folks. =)

Sleep (less?)

I should probably be in bed sleeping right now. Kind of not happening eh?

Feelings are kinda hard to put into words, and almost certainly, they will appear the wrong way. At least, they often do for me. Explains why I am often at a loss of words lately doesn't it?

Anyways, I can't get to sleep, here's a really beautiful song by Jacky Cheung and Regina Velasquez. Also happens to be the song which Matthew and Bern sang together on their wedding day. Thanks Matthew for not forgetting Pat. I'm sure she's really really happy to see Bern and you happily married. =)

Night...

Haven't blogged in quite some time. A combination of not wanting to, and opening up blogger and staring at it for 5 minutes before closing it.

Honestly, I don't know what to say / don't have anything to say anymore.

Don't want to say anything I'll regret again. Night.
