It's been a considerably lighter weekend. Only a few projects to work on, a case study to do, hrm... a few homeworks here and there. Considerably lighter weekend than every other weekend I have had since the start of this term.
A brief recount: Thursday, ended class at 4pm, had group meetings all the way up till 5:30pm, headed home and went for a run to work off the stress of the week. Met up with Lenny, John and Aaron for dinner at Chitpole's (their fajita burritos are the best; I am officially swearing off Big Ten Burritos and Pancharos). Later that evening, I headed out to a classmate's place for the pre-bowling night party. Courtesy of Jordan (ever so helpful), I made it to the VIP list of that party. For that, I took pretty big hits (alcohol wise) at the party.
We went to the b-school and took the buses to the bowling alley, where the entire BBA Class of 2008 bowled (or tried to). More beer, pizzas and crazy fun. Probably more than half of the kids were terribly wasted and it was pretty funny to see them bowl. Not so amusing to see the degeneration of kids from one of the top business schools in the country and in the world. The less heartening sights were of course drunk kids making out all over the place; makes Zouk seem almost decent. Ah well, it was a pretty good time. My classmate probably bowled half of my games in her drunk state, earning me the "why are you such a shitty bowler" question a million times. Haha... Was sober enough to run home after that and read my Finance 310 case. Not too bad given the amount of alcohol I had.
Friday was pretty uneventful. Nice weather, another run, and then went to meet up with Ming and some kids from Tzu Ching for dinner at a new Taiwanese restaurant on campus. Decent food, probably good enough to make the boss of TK Wu start to panic a little given their close proximity. Went to catch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (hell yeah!) with quite a few kids from my batch. I grew up watching that so I think it was a good movie. Did more work after I got home but that, is just another uninteresting point to mention.
Saturday, lazed around for a good part of the day and went to grab groceries in the afternoon. Bought some stuff which we ate at Joshua Tree over spring break. The few which warrant notable mention are of course the infamous bagels and Colby Jack cheese (Scott must still be having nightmares of our Oh-ah-peh-ah-som loser eat all bagels game). Tasted darn good I must say. Work and rest for the rest of the day. Run too. Weather was pretty nice out, around 10 degrees I think. Warm enough to run in singlet and shorts.
Sunday. Slept in till late. I hopped out of bed after a bad nightmare. Stupid dreams haven't hit for some time. I guess, being exhausted does cause the mind to wander a fair bit. Bleah. Not fun at all. Worked on my case report, powerpoints, etc. The usual. We cooked Nasi Lemak for dinner at home and it was pretty awesome. Not much time to do anything really fancy but good enough for Ann Arbor standards.

Ming and I went for the Banff Film Festival, a outdoor adventures film festival which showcased crazy or interesting stuff which people did. Check out the details at
Banff Mountain Festival.
Mad ski stunts (jumping off a freaking 200 foot cliff in the middle of a ski run), ice
berg climbers (do you have any idea how insanely dangerous that is in the middle of the Atlantic?), whitewater kayakers flying off waterfalls (yes you heard me right, waterfalls), fascinating mountain bike stunts and of course the crazy couple who biked from Mongolia, across the deserts and mountains, through to China (Xinjang and other provinces), through Tibet, and to India's Bay of Bengal. 8500km dude. Just 2 people on bikes, no vehicular support, no water, no communications, nada, nothing. How's that for an outdoor adventure. "The crazy things people do" just doesn't do them any justice huh.
Alrighty. That's my weekend recap for you. I haven't gotten down to writing up on my Spring Break. Maybe some other time.
Until then, chill out and jiayou for those who have a rough week ahead. I hope all will be well for all of you. You guys will be on my mind.
Peace out.
Wilson
P.S. My apologies for the long rant, just decided to write brainless stuff for 10 minutes and this is the result. Have fun reading.
