Thanksgiving Eve (and it's eve)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Give thanks to all the things and people around you who make your life complete and wonderful. =)

My thanksgiving holiday started effectively on Tuesday when my class ended. On second thoughts, it started before that. Had a group meeting for strategy at 11am in the morning on Tuesday and finished that pretty quickly. With an hour or so to go before our only class for Tuesday, Michael and I decided to head over to Good Time Charlie's for lunch. Since it's Charlie's (and thanksgiving eve), we got a pitcher of beer and had two mugs of beer each before heading to class. It was good to get a chance to hang out with my buddy from class and chat with him about random stuff. Awesome time.

Met up with Ted and Jianwei for dinner at Lotus Thai for decent Thai food. Following dinner, went to catch a movie at Showcase Cinemas with Anny and Ariel. We watched Michael Clayton which starred George Clooney. Was a pretty simple show but they managed to make the simple plot ridiculously complicated. Semi-decent I guess, but oh wells, nonetheless good to have a chance to hang out with friends. Oh, and Anny baked cookies, brownies and mini muffins! Scrumptious! =P If you're reading this, thanks again lo!

On thanksgiving eve (Wednesday), met up with Michelle for lunch at Stockwell since she was trying to clear up her meal credits. Haven't had dorm food since freshman year and nothing much has changed. Haha, still as *ahem* good. Helped her to read through her essay and gave her my (semi-useless) take on it; hopefully it helped a little. Lol, there's a reason why I'm not an LSA major man...

Dinner with a bunch of guys: Ted, Jianwei, Yuhui, Roy, Lennard, Aaron and Adhi at Cafe Zola just off Main Street. Passable food; think it was better on my first visit there in freshman year for Lucy 姐's birthday celebration. Nonetheless, good company. Checked out plans for winter break with Jianwei at my house before heading over to the house party hosted by Roy, Junrong and Yuhui at Bradford House. Complete with strobe and black lights (and a ton of alcohol), it was a pretty hrm... happening party. Haha... Lots of alcohol and drunk kids, and definitely no lack of "Merlions". Ended up staying pretty sober and keeping and eye on friends to make sure they didn't get themselves wrecked.

That just about sums up my thanksgiving eve, as well as the day before it. Good times and I'm really thankful for all the friends whom I've made here in Michigan. Great times, definitely.

I'm heading out to Toronto early tomorrow morning (at least, that's the plan if everyone manages to wake up from their hangover) until Saturday with Chunyi, Jingshen and Ming. Until then, take care and for those of you who are reading this, thank you, whoever you are.

Happy Thanksgiving.
